Hi!!!
So we have been knowingly preggo for about 2.5 weeks now and we are getting more and more excited as the days go on... Last week I got impaitent and rang the ultrasound people at the hospital to find out when our first scan would be and they said that the doctor had missed a section on the form and they couldn't book me in until it was done right... So off I went back to the doctor on Sunday to get the form fixed and this morning I get a call about it from the hospital (Lucky I'm on the ball or nothing would get done at all) so we are all fixed now and booked in for the first week of April... YAY!!!! I kind wish I wasn't so accurate with my dates cause if not I'd get to have one next week for dating :(
Symptoms this week have been much much stronger.... Extremely tired, Extremely MOODY!!!! (poor Luke), and feeling much more nausea (still no vomiting though) I have found if I eat little bits all the time I feel great!! I make sure I have a museli bar in my bag all the time now just in case.
I had the worst Hayfever I have had in a long time on Friday which made me even more tired and moody (seriously I feel so sorry for Luke, I know whats going on but can't controll it) and then on Sunday night I got this horrible toothache... and when I am in pain and not pregnant I am ultra mood so you can imagine the devil horns they came out of my head with a toothache and not being able to take any decent pain meds (once again poor poor Luke)..... So dentist visit yesterday and we are all fixed but need another one or two done before I hit 12 weeks cause after that you just have to deal with it....
This is what is happening in my belly at the moment:
Starting to look like a real baby and over the next week will grow to 2cm in length and grow fingers and toes and nose and ears and eyelids etc.... very amazing!!!!
We have decided on names too which is very exciting.... If we have a little girl her name will be Kaylea Florence Thompson and if its a boy his name will be Zac Patrick Thompson.....
So I have had a pretty rough week but still feeling good... can't complain cause there are a lot of people out there much worse off than me....

Six Weeks - and feeling good
So we are at the start of our 7th week and still feeling great. No Morning Sickness to report as of yet (touchwood), a little bit of mild nausea occasionally but only for a few minutes, feeling a bit tired but all in all feeling great. I am one of the lucky ones I guess.
The only thing I am struggling with is food.... I am such a fussy eater to start with so it makes it hard when all the good stuff I like is a no no because of the risk of Listeria which causes miscarriage.... Some people have said don't worry about it, there never used to be all these rules and we were fine and had healthy babies, but advances in medicine have given us the ability to prevent these things so why not give it up for a few months, Its for your baby after all.... I am particularly struggling with Lunch at work.... but I am getting there. Just need to get into a routine.
I have also noticed that EVERYONE offers their advice, even people who have never been pregnant.... but the best advice I have been given is 'take what the doctor says very seriously and listen to what everyone else says, thank them for their advice and pop it on the back shelf and don't take it as gospel' Everyone will always have an opinion on everything right through to how you raise the baby so you just have to smile and get used to it I guess.
Went to the GP on Wednesday and got all bloods confirmed and my referral was sent of the the RBWH for my antenatal appointments and my scan between 11-14 weeks to detect the possibility of Downs Syndrome. So we are on the count down now till we get to see our little BellyBean for the first time!
It is really difficult trying not to get carried away about baby stuff, we aren't buying anything until after 15 weeks (cause we don't want to jinx it) but I have found myself googling Prams and Cots and Baby Names.... Its so hard to control yourself when your so excited!!!
So now we are just playing the waiting game, which I am not very good at cause I am so impaitent.
Apparently this is what BellyBean looks like now.....
I have joined all kinds of websites to find out information. I am amazed about what is going on in there and love reading about it all.
So touchwood everything continues going along smoothly and the mroning sickness stays away.
Have a good week!!!! only 34 weeks to go!!!

We are having a Baby!!!!
Hello,
Welcome to my Pregnancy Blog.... I am doing this so all of my friends and family can follow my progress throughout my pregnancy and so I can keep track of eveything that is going on. So lets start from the very beginning.....
Luke & I found out I was pregnant on Saturday 12th February at 11.05am..... I had just taken a test and it came up positive within 30secs so I walked out to the hall and said "I think we are having a baby!" to which Luke replied "you think??" so I showed hime the test and we googled to make sure we were right!!!
I rang my mum straight away who didn't understand at first but when she realised what i had just told her is was so excited she started crying.... Then after a brief disscussion we decided to just tell the world... hey why not!!! we are ultra excited and want everyone to share this time with us.
We popped over to the doctors on Sunday and got it all confirmed, had the usual blood tests and we have to go back on Wednesday night and get results and referral to RBWH.
So now its 15th Feb and we are 5 weeks along (Tuesday is the start of our week)....
Apparently this is what it all looks like in there -
Current Symptoms -
I am feeling pretty good, getting tired though, tend to feel a bit squeemish about half an hour after I eat. Other than that all is as if I wasn't preggo...
I am really struggling to cope with the fact that alot of my fave food are in the No No list because they contain a harmful bacteria but it will make them all that much better when I can have them in 8 months time.... Luke and I are using this opportunity to eat better and get healthy for our baby, if this isn't motivation enough then nothing ever will be....
